A Jin-Mei is not a great newbie starting point. Consider them advanced characters for more mature, experienced players. Why? Because they take a long time to get to a level where they are doing what you want them to do.
A Jin-Mei is not going to be able to rush in there and start firing most of the time - instead they require careful thought in their combat techniques, if they fight at all. What I mean by all this is that their stats are low but balanced, so you can go for a wide variety of skills but you're initially going to be behind the curve.
Starting with Leadership isn't going to do you a lot of good early on, but later in your game a Jin-Mei can be great. Pick this bloodline if you want a tactical character, one who later on will be able to not only run an excellent corporation, but also be able to jump in and help with anything that corporation needs - from science to combat. Just be prepared for a long haul to get there.
