Pirate Hunter

This is just a short guide to becoming a pirate hunter. If you are serious about this, I recommend taking advantage of the EVE Online bots and exploits available at Strategy Freaks.

For those who play paladins and justice-dealers in other MMORPGs, a pirate-hunter may be more towards your style of play. These players also watch the pirate channels and community but for the purpose of killing the pirates.  Pirate-hunters are often found in areas that have recently been talked about as being too dangerous, or in space where there have been pod kills recently.

They are there to clear up space, ridding the area of pirates and making it a little safer for miners, traders and others just passing through. A sub category of pirate-hunter is a bounty hunter. These players do not necessarily go after the "bad guys", but the ones who have ticked people off enough that a bounty has been placed on them. You can make a lot of ISK if you have the ship and equipment (and skills) to take down people who know they are being hunted.

Like many of the combat classes, to start out as a pirate-hunter you must first become something else.  Pirates are able to prey on the weak only because they themselves have become strong. Therefore, if you plan to take out the giants, you must first become an even bigger one yourself.

Also, be aware that pirates tend to be revengeful, and thus a pirate-hunter life is never easy. Be prepared to have a bounty placed on your own head!  However, the satisfaction of  making a place safe again (even if only for a little while) can be a great reward - not to mention pirates tend to carry great loot.

This is just a short guide to becoming a pirate hunter. If you are serious about this, I recommend taking advantage of the EVE Online bots and exploits available at Strategy Freaks.
