EVE Online handles factions in much the same way that standard MMOs deal with them. When you create a character, you pick your race, bloodline and starting corporation, which will determine what faction you are aligned with.
Besides the player races, there are also several NPC factions which are generic and serve as either mission givers or target practice. |
