Missions |
 |
This article provides a general introduction to the topic and covers the basics. If you are looking for more advanced strategies and hints, please take a look at the EVE Online Guide offered by Killer Guides.
Why do the missions? There is a lot of ISK to made from them, and when you are a starting player you are not going to want to venture into low security space hunting pirates just yet. Level I missions will keep you in high security space fighting, if anyone, rats (NPCs).
They are one of the better ways to make money, they are safer (though not totally safe by a long shot), and they are a lot of fun. Try to get story missions as soon as you can (you usually have to go through a few generic missions first) as they tend to have a higher reward payout and are much more interesting to play.
For your first one, follow the instructions on the graduation certificate you will pick up in the tutorial. (Just do a few regular missions first to get the hang of it and generate enough ISK for a decent frigate and fittings.) |
