A hauler or trader has a slightly more exciting life than a mere miner - it is your job to not only run the highly contested trade routes between areas, but to often discover those routes in the first place.
You are a strange combination of a crafting and combat profession, and every route you must be keenly aware that you are a prize to the first pirate who gets a hold of you. Traders tend to shy away from corporations at first, if only because they do not want to give away their secret trade routes.
However, a corporation brings protection and security to back up those routes, as well as information on possibly better ones that you could be traveling, so give some thought to joining one that you trust, and that has the numbers you need. A small corporation tends to hurt a potential trader more than help them, as they share your information and often cannot protect it properly. |
