EVE Online is almost the same as all other popular MMOGs on the market such as World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XI, Guild Wars, EverQuest II, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, and Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar in that it does have its own races like all these games.
In EVE Online created and developed by CCP games, a Norwegian game company, players can choose their characters that they wish to be from four of these EVE playable races including (Amarr, Gallente, Caldari and Minmatar). The fifth race called (Jove) are not currently playable, but will be available to all the EVE Online players in the near future.
All of these four playable races (Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, and Minmatar) is residing in The space world of EVE. All of these EVE races are of human origin; their ancestors entered this little part of the universe several thousands of years ago through a natural wormhole. Each race has their own unique characteristics or attributes attached to them since they were born.
Even though all five of the playable races in the EVE World are humans in nature, but there is no way of anyone confusing one race with the other because they all look completely different. All four races of EVE possesses a distinct style and specialty and surely they speak their own languages.
One thing to always remember before choosing your own race in EVE is that there are no classes in EVE - there are only bloodlines and no race is superior to another. Which race is most suitable for your play style generally depends on your personal taste, based on which races description interests you and how you wish to play the EVE game.
