Think empire in decline. These guys used to be big in EVE, but are slowly losing ground as other races manage to get their acts together and take back what they had. You'll tend to make a lot of enemies as an Amarr, and if you role play you'll be unlikely to set up a multi-race corporation, which can hinder you slightly.
